Sooooooooo BEAUTIFUL, COOL AND FUN! I love this lake and how clean and Krispy it is. Thanks for keeping it great for all of us. Love bringing that family and friends! Great place to vacation!
This is my home. I live here. It’s an amazing place. If you came here for a review and plan to come here. Please respect the beauty of nature and keep it clean from your trash. It’s not beautiful when there is litter everywhere.
First time kayaking in the winter and Donner was the perfect place to try, with its easy access boat launch and beautiful views. Only downside was the restrooms were closed for the season (kind of expected though for the season)
Donner Lake is amazing! The peaceful lake, surrounded by big mountains, is perfect for nature lovers.
Donner Lake is my happy place. My husband's family has had a cabin on the lake for 30+ years and it's housed generations of fun and adventure and happy memories!
Donner lake has some beautiful viewing areas on the west side up at the old highway turn out.
Oh my! We’re not in Kansas anymore ToTo! This magical place seems like you have stepped out of the wardrobe into an enchanted fairytale. So peaceful and so beautiful I could have stayed and just lost myself there. I will definitely be going back for more hiking and snowshoeing. If you do either this is a fairly easy trail. Snowshoeing the trail is groomed and easy to go off the trail if you like trailblazing for more of a challenge.
We took a drive up to Truckee and decided to visit donner lake. Best decision we made. Such a beautiful lake with vistas of the train tracks. We went to the beach and of course $8 a person. So we decide to hurry on back and found one of the many many mini docks. We chilled and sat all by ourselves for a while. So lovely.
